Hello, my name is Arta Rashica.
I’m from Austria, and I’m organizing this campaign on behalf of my friend, Batoul Ahmed Al-Mashharawi, an 18-year-old student from Gaza, Palestine.
Batoul is an incredibly bright and determined young woman. She has always dreamed of becoming a physical therapist, hoping to one day help others heal and regain strength. But today, she is the one who urgently needs our help.
A few weeks ago, while Batoul was in class, the area around her school was bombed. As she tried to make her way home, she was caught in the aftermath and suffered a severe head injury. She is now in intensive care, and her condition is critical.
Her story has been shared in the Palestinian press—not because of her academic success or her kindness, but because of this heartbreaking event that has left her fighting for her life. Her family has lost everything: their home, their jobs, and any sense of security. They are facing this tragedy with no resources to pay for the lifesaving medical care Batoul urgently needs.
We are trying to raise $50,000 to help with:
Emergency medical treatment and long-term care
Basic living essentials for her and her displaced family
A chance for Batoul to continue her education and reclaim her future
I will personally ensure that the funds are transferred directly to Batoul’s family in Gaza to be used for her care and immediate needs. I'm in constant contact with them, and together, we will make sure every dollar is put to meaningful use.
This isn’t just about medical costs—it’s about giving Batoul a fighting chance. A chance to heal. A chance to live the life she once dreamed of.
If you are able, please consider donating. Every contribution, no matter the amount, can help save a life. And even if you can't donate, sharing this campaign could reach someone who can.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reading, for caring, and for standing with Batoul in this critical time.
With deep gratitude,
