Help Bastone’s rebuild after fire

It seems surreal that 8 years ago almost to the day our childhood home burned down. Today we lost our barn filled with the little remaining property we had.
What happened? We don't know for sure but we believe the fire was caused by 20+ brand new windows we had piled up against the west side of the barn on Monday morning. Those windows were stacked 6-8 deep and the sun beat down on them for almost 48 hours creating a magnifying glass effect, heating the side of the barn up hot enough to start a fire. We never even thought of the possibility of that happening. With all this dry, hot weather we have been experiencing, please do not leave any glass in a spot where it could start a fire.
The trauma caused by the original fire left our entire family displaced and feeling shaken. For so long. This week, we had begun, as a family, picking up the pieces and organizing the property most specifically the barn. Our goal was to begin to restore the farm to its once beautiful family home and to start a family business building tiny homes and raising animals again.
This was a place we all felt at home, and that we belonged. We were filled with hope encouragement and motivation, which had been lacking for some time. And then this fire happened.
To say we all feel a bit "cursed" would seem an understatement. The barn took with it all of the materials and tools to build a new house which had been collecting for 8 years and the remaining memories of the many decades our family had called this beautiful property our home. The original home, built by our father Louie, once stood 200 feet away. In an effort to stop the spread of the fire, the temporary home on the property also sustained a great amount of structural damage. As I write this I am almost lost for words as to describe the hardships that have led to this moment for our family. A good friend of ours who was with us while cleaning out the barn this week, sent me this, in hopes it might help with this GoFundMe page;
"Louie Bastone has always been there for his friends, family and strangers in need. In fact, you may have experienced his support first hand, or by extension through one of his kids. If you know this family, a member has probably helped you, genuinely offered to help you or will do so in the future. That's just who they are! This is our opportunity to show our gratitude and camaraderie. Please donate whatever you can to help replace and rebuild what has been lost. We can all work together to show this family, this great guy -Louie, that we will help each other when in need. We can be the silver lining!"
We hope that our family and friends can come together to help us rebuild and leave all the trauma, hurt and pain of loss in the past. This is our chance to start a new path and create a new story. We can only do that with help, from the people that surround us that love us most, and the people they surround themselves with. We are looking to raise $50,000, but could also use new tools, building materials including windows, insulation, venting etc. If you know a building company or anyone who would be willing to help with materials or tools that would be so greatly appreciated.
If there is nothing you could supply or donate and would still like to help, there is always your time!! Manual labour is ALWAYS welcome, any trade knowledge and labour can always be used!
Our goal is to raise this money and equipment by the end of the summer or sooner so we can begin the rebuild as soon as possible.
Anything helps!!
We thank you kindly for all words, notes and prayers sent to us thus far. We appreciate all of you so much!!
We look forward to what this journey out of the ashes will bring and can't wait to have a WICKED barn raising party to celebrate with everyone who has helped!!!
With much love and appreciation
