Support for Basima and Her Family Amid Crisis
Basima has been a lifeline for so many families in Union City, including mine. As a home daycare provider, she has lovingly cared for all three of my children, from infancy to elementary school. Her warmth, dedication, and genuine care for every child she watches have been a true blessing. She makes homemade meals, shares heartwarming stories about the kids' days, and brings so much joy to those around her.
This September, Basima had planned to visit her elderly parents and six siblings abroad, but rising tensions in the region forced her to cancel the trip. Sadly, things have only worsened. Her entire family—parents and siblings—have been displaced, and her brother's home was recently destroyed by bombings.
Despite the immense stress she’s under, Basima continues to show up every day with a smile, taking care of babies and toddlers so that other parents, like me, can go to work. She hasn’t asked for help, but I know she is carrying a heavy burden, supporting eight loved ones in a region where work has come to a halt, and even extending her support to other families who have been lifelong friends.
I’m starting this GoFundMe because I know Basima would never ask for herself, but I also know how much relief it would bring her. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly to helping her family rebuild their lives in this incredibly difficult time.
Let’s show Basima the same love and care that she’s given to so many of our children. If you can donate, it would mean the world.
Let’s work together to create a kinder, more compassionate world—the kind Basima has always modeled for our kids. Thank you so much for your generosity.
Much love to all. ❤
