In 2022, our uncle was diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure and now it’s accelerated to stage 5 kidney failure after battling Type 2 diabetes for many years. A few months ago, his condition worsened significantly and he had to begin dialysis treatments. This past year has been challenging for him and his family as he hasn't been able to work as much due to his declining health. He gets dialysis treatments three times a week, which helps keep him alive while he waits for a kidney transplant or better treatment options in the future.

Our uncle is known for being generous, hardworking, and caring man who always helped others. He is well known in the Sudanese community in Delaware, where he has built many friendships and has always been someone people could rely on.

He has four sons, two in college and two still in school. Despite their own responsibilities, his sons have stepped up to support their father by taking him to doctor’s appointments, driving him to dialysis treatments, and helping manage household expenses. During this challenging time, we want him to be able to focus on fighting for his health rather than worrying about the growing financial burden.
