I don’t usually ask for help, but right now I truly need it. My puppy Bash is currently in the animal hospital and will need multiple blood transfusions, about a week of hospitalization, and continued medication once he’s stable. The cost has become more than I can handle on my own. Anyone who knows me knows I’m used to figuring things out and making a way, especially being the oldest—but this time, I’m overwhelmed. Bash came into my life during one of my lowest moments after losing my mom. He’s been more than a pet—he’s been my comfort, my peace, and my support through some really dark times. And now he needs me, and I’m doing everything I can not to let him down. I’m currently in school paying out of pocket, and his initial hospital stay has already stretched me thin.
