On June 30, 2026, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy when my father, Bart DiGuglielmo, lost his life following a shooting in North Lauderdale, Florida. As the investigation continues, I am determined to pursue every available legal avenue to ensure that the facts are fully examined and that justice is served through the appropriate legal process.

I am seeking to raise $8,000 to help retain experienced legal counsel for both my father and myself as we move forward with the legal process. The publicity of this case has caused severe mental distress on myself more than ever. The harassment, death threats, and doxing of me and my children's information has left me no other option except to obtain counsel to protect me and my children from public scrutiny on top of fighting with all I have to be sure my father receives the proper justice he deserves. These funds will provide the resources necessary to advocate for my father while helping ease the financial burden this tragedy has placed on my immediate family, as I am a single mother with 3 children.

Because of the time required to manage matters related to this case, I have missed work and lost income. Donations will help cover essential household expenses, including rent, utilities, and other everyday necessities, while we focus on honoring Bart's memory and seeking accountability. Any remaining funds will be used to support Bart's grandchildren, allowing them to continue participating in the extracurricular activities they have always enjoyed and providing them with a sense of stability during this difficult time.

Bart dedicated his life to serving others. He proudly served our country for 17 years in the United States military and then spent nearly 30 years as an Emergency Room trauma nurse, caring for patients during some of the most critical moments of their lives. His compassion, integrity, and commitment to helping others touched countless lives.

Now, our family is asking for the same compassion that Bart showed throughout his life.
