Help Barry Savar Fight Stage 4 Melanoma

Hello, my name is Amanda and I am Barry Savar's daughter-in-law. For those of you that don't know Barry was diagnosed almost three months ago with Stage 4 Melanoma. It started when he became unable to walk. Barry has melanoma that has spread to his brain, lungs, and intestines.

Barry has received radiation to try and shrink all the tumors in his brain. He then suffered a pulmonary embolism, which required surgery to prevent more clots from traveling through his body. Only a few days later, Barry had terrible pain in his stomach, which required emergency bowel reduction surgery. Barry is currently receiving immunotherapy to try and reduce the tumors in his brain, lungs, and intestines.

Barry has struggled both physically and financially. He has had multiple hospital stays in only a short amount of time and has been in a rehab facility while trying to recover some of his strength.

Barry's insurance will no longer cover his stay and he will be released from rehab where he has been having physical and occupational therapy daily. His family has willingly supported him and fought for him to have the best care. Time and money have now run out and Barry still has a long road ahead of him.

As a last resort, we are reaching out for help. We are hoping any money raised here would be able to help with the medical bills Barry has already accumulated and all the medical bills he will continue to accumulate on his cancer journey.
