Hi my name is Paul Barry’s close friend. Barry is an avid outdoorsman and spends a lot of time hunting. Barry had an unfortunate event on 11-8-2021. While on his annual hunting trip in upstate Pennsylvania. Barry had a tragic accident while climbing the ladder of his tree stand. Barry fell some 20+ feet shattering both ankles and compound fracturing both legs. With no phone service and multiple broken bones Barry crawled from his stand to his truck some 400 yards away. After some time he was able to pull himself into his truck. Barry drove almost 8 miles using his arrow from his bow to push the gas and brake to navigate back to the cabin where he has spotty cell reception. He was unable to exit his vehicle until the following morning when he was able to pull himself to the cabin to phone his wife for help. Barry was rescued around 10am Tuesday morning after being injured at 3pm Monday afternoon. Barry has a long road to recovery and is currently hospitalized about 4 hours from home. His transportation to a hospital closer to home is not covered by his insurance, it is my hope to raise enough money to pay for his transport to a specialized hospital only 35 minutes from his home where he can get the help and support from friends family and doctors needed to help him recover quickly.
