To all Our Dear Friends Near and Far,

We would like to start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who purchased tickets for “Best for Barry Fiesta ST Raffle”
We were totally overwhelmed by the speed of the ticket sales and with all the offers of support we decided to start a GoFundMe page. 
Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would ever have to write these words! And as Barry would say “you couldn’t write the script” 

Barry was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Brain Tumor in his right Temporal Lobe on 16th January, the day our world totally fell apart. He underwent major brain surgery on 20th January to remove as much of the tumor as safely as possible  under the care of the amazing Neuro team at Beaumont Hospital. He is currently going through concurrent Radiation and Chemotherapy which is the Gold Standard of Care called Stupp Protocol. 

The nature of this battle is that it is an aggressive and rare form of cancer, and although there is a lot of research into new cancer treatments, Glioblastoma treatments have not been updated since 2005. 

Through lots of our own research we believe to win this battle we must attack with a multi-pronged approach, including Chronic Illness Nutrition, Oncology Clinic using repurposed drug protocol, medical CBD, Immunotherapy and Clinical Trials. 

Not all these treatments are available to us in Ireland and it will be necessary to go outside our borders to ensure Barry receives the best possible care and will cause a huge financial strain. 

As time is of the essence and mounting medical bills we are asking all our dear friends to support Barry by making a donation towards these vital funds. Any unused remaining funds will go to ‘Brain Tumor Ireland’ and hopefully support other families going through a similar horrific diagnosis. 

We are prepared for battle and ready to do what it takes to get Barry back fighting fit. It will be a long road and we may even encounter some bumps along the way but we will definitely do everything in our power to beat this tumor. 

We would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all the well wishes and support and we will keep you all posted on Barry’s progress on his road to recovery.
