Help Barrett Compete at Junior Olympics
Donation protected
Hello, everyone. I'm not sure where to start as this isn't something we've ever done before and aren't used to doing. My 12-year-old son, Barrett, is an amazing human. He is so smart and so kind. He is truly a blessing. He has been throwing shot put for 3 years. He placed 28th out of 79 at the Junior Olympics (J.O.) when he was 9 years old, his first year throwing. We moved to a new county and couldn't find a team for him, but he was able to throw again this year for his middle school team. Since that season ended, he has been working with some amazing throwing coaches and an amazing strength and speed coach, and he improved 2 meters over his last 2 meets. Currently, he is again ranking among the top 30 in the nation. We believe that over the next few weeks leading up to J.O., he will improve to the top 10. We'd really like to give him the opportunity to compete nationally again because he has worked so hard and deserves that chance. This year, J.O. is in Houston, TX, and travel is expensive. So, we're asking for help to get us there. Any amount helps, but we also understand the weight of financial burden, so praying for us and sharing our campaign will also be extremely helpful. We are humbled and grateful. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
