I’ve been struggling financially since David died. Going from a two income household to one, hasn’t been easy. David didn’t work but was on disability and brought in a steady check to help pay our bills. Unfortunately, since we weren’t married, I wasn’t eligible for any spousal / survivor benefits.
Since his passing, I’ve been living paycheck to paycheck, barely getting by. Unfortunately, I have fallen behind on a few bills, namely my car payment. Since he passed a few months ago, I took some time off work to deal with my own mental health. This time was partially paid, some of it wasn’t. I’m feeling the effects and I need help . I don’t have any savings, no cushion and no family to ask. Asking for help isn’t easy and is kind of embarrassing to admit. With your help, I’m hoping to catch up on past due bills, and to also create a savings / cushion in case something like this happens again.
