Barnabas is very sick and basic diagnostics aren’t finding the illness. He just turned 7, and has been with me since he was 7 weeks old. We have done everything we can for him with our primary vet. We have ruled out many illnesses, but still have a ways to go. After the third visit to our vet this week, his fever is still high, his appetite low, and now he’s showing signs of increased abdominal discomfort. We’ve done X-rays, bloodwork, urinary panels… all to no avail.

Our vet is referring him to Old Growth in Puyallup for what will be overnight hospitalization and other diagnostic work ups such as an ultrasound.

As I no longer work in restaurants, my funds are extremely limited at this time. I have depleted my resources at this point. Quite frankly, I’m having a hard time writing this and even asking for help.

The estimate given by Old Growth was around $3k-$5k. We have already spent upwards of $1100 out of pocket. My heart is shattered not knowing what is wrong with my baby. My heart is shattered he is in so much discomfort. But my gut says that he can make it if we can figure out just what is going on.

We would be so eternally grateful for ANY contribution, even if it’s just lighting a candle for his healing.
