Hello, my name is Diego Loving, and I am a young dog dad with a couple of senior citizen dogs. This campaign is for my oldest man Barney, who has recently been set back with a torn cruciate (dog version of torn ACL). His quality of life has been getting worse; first, no more walks, now no jumping on his favorite couch, and it seems to be getting more extreme. He is in dire need of surgery to correct his injury. He is 11 and still has many more good years of life after this surgery.

I have known Barney since he was a puppy, as he was my "neighborhood grandma's" dog. I would clean her yard and help watch after her animals. Barney was her everything, little prince. Unfortunately, at the age of 92, she fell down her home stairs and had a bad injury. A gash to the head and some other bad injuries landed her in intensive care in the hospital. This rendered her unable to take care of Barney, as she had to leave her home and life to go to assisted living. During this ordeal, her family would not care for or take care of her son(Barney). During this time, I began to help in caring for him again. After she said she would have to give Barney to a shelter because her family refused to take him, I knew I would not let that happen. At a shelter, he would likely feel lost and be stuck there (or worse) due to old age. I decided to take him in as my own, and from then on out, he would join me and my other dog/son(Bobo). I promised her I would take Barney in as my own and care for him in every way possible. Barney has now become my little prince, and I would do anything for him. I cannot let him be in pain and discomfort when there is a solution. This surgery will make it so that Barney can once again walk, jump, and be a dog. Right now, his mind wants to do more than his body can, and I cannot stand to watch it anymore. I am asking for any donations towards his surgery so that his health can be restored. Thank you!!
