Hello there!

Anyone who knows me knows my pride and joy in this world is my cat son Barnaby. My 4-year-old tabby is a strange, vocal little man who has always had a way with earning the love of everyone he comes across. Around 2 years old, he started to have some discoloration in his left eye that was monitored through yearly check-ups, but did not present an immediate concern.

Well, after a year of monitoring, his "magic eye" has been diagnosed with iris melanoma. Barnaby has had blood testing, and everything else came back clean and healthy, but his magic eye is being removed today, March 31st. His surgery and aftercare will cost $2,000, and as an artist/florist, I am not prepared for such a big expense. I am hoping that by putting the word out there, any of you lovely pet lovers might spare a few dollars to help this process. There is preparation, surgery, medication, inpatient care for the day, and pathology for the eye. All funds will go directly to his bill at Pikesville Animal Hospital, and in the event that anything remains, it will go to a local pet charity.
