We’re reaching out during one of the toughest times we’ve faced. Barkley suddenly became ill while coughing up blood and we’re now having to take him to the emergency vet. As any pet parent knows, this kind of situation is terrifying—and it’s made even harder by the financial stress we’re under after recently losing a job.

Barkley isn’t just a pet—he’s family. He’s our goofy shadow, our source of comfort, our loyal companion through the ups and downs. Seeing him in pain and not being able to help him right away is breaking our hearts.

We never imagined we’d be in a position where we’d have to ask for help, but emergency vet visits are expensive, and we’re simply not in a financial place to cover the cost.
