Bard High School Early College Queens Debate Team is going to the Tournament of Champions !!! Hosted by the National Parliamentary Debate League in San Diego, California over 3 days in April, this is event is the culminating celebration of high school parliamentary debate in the United States.
This year, 6 sophomores, Year 1s, and Year 2s from Bard Queens have qualified as outstanding debaters and are preparing to bring their best to the competition. Our team is in need of financial support to cover tournament entry fees, chaperone expenses, and to subsidize travel expenses for the team.
I am a parent of Y1 debater Magalie Crary, and co-organized this fundraiser with the team captains, Y2s Anya Berkowitz and Mina Glanz. All funds raised will support those students traveling to TOCs, and if we raise more than we need for this trip (which would be amazing!), the surplus will go back to the team for the continued benefit of every student in the Bard Queens debate community.
