Help Barbie Breathe Easy: Cancer Recovery Fund

Hi everyone,
My name is Stephanie, and I’m reaching out to share an update on my Aunt Barbie’s health and to ask for your support.

As many of you know, Barbie has been battling Small Cell Lung Cancer, a very aggressive form of the disease. She has been incredibly brave throughout her initial treatments, and we are relieved to say she is nearing the end of this first phase. However, the road to recovery is still very long, and the next steps are critical.

The Journey Ahead
Barbie’s medical team has laid out a rigorous plan for the next two years to ensure she stays on the path to healing:
  • Immunotherapy: Starting soon, Barbie will begin a two-year immunotherapy regimen, receiving treatments once a month to help her body continue the fight.
  • Preventative Brain Radiation: To stay ahead of this aggressive cancer, she will undergo 10 days of brain radiation. While her doctors are taking every precaution to protect her memory during the procedure, this treatment is exhausting and comes with a recovery period that will affect her daily life and cognitive energy.
Why Your Help Matters Now
Even though the most "intense" initial treatments are finishing, Barbie is far from being able to return to life as usual. Between the monthly immunotherapy and the recovery from radiation, she needs a stable environment to heal.
We are raising funds to help Barbie with:
  • Housing & Utilities: Keeping her rent and electricity paid so she has a stress-free place to recover.
  • Nutritional Support: Groceries and essentials to keep her strength up during immunotherapy.
  • Transportation & Care: Getting her to her monthly treatments and supporting her during the "brain fog" that follows radiation.
In true Barbie fashion, she’s keeping her sense of humor through it all—joking that the radiation might make her "not the sharpest tool in the box," even though we all know she’s as bright as they come. But the truth is, she is facing a very real, very long recovery, and she can’t do it alone.

How You Can Support
Every donation, no matter the size, gives Barbie the "breathing room" she needs to focus on her health rather than her bills. If you cannot donate, please share this page and keep Barbie in your prayers.

Thank you for being part of Barbie's support system. We are so grateful for this community.
With love and gratitude,
Stephanie and Family
