Hi, my name is Tony Helm and my mom is the strongest person I know. She has fought cervical and breast cancer but still has as much energy as her "hyper mom" reputation precedes. As a single mother, she taught me and my sister how to cook and bake as well as how to treat every other person how we'd want to be treated.

However, she was recently re-diagnosed with breast cancer. She is scheduled to have a double mastectomy on February 5 and thankfully she is able to have the surgery during a time when Covid-19 has overrun hospitals. That said, the only job she could find this year is driving full time (50+ hours a week) for UberEats and DoorDash and therefore does not get sick pay or paid vacation.

Which brings me to this fundraiser. I hope to be able to help pay her rent for a month or two to help with the painful healing process. Every delivery for those apps puts her at risk of catching the deadly coronavirus on top of the potential infection of the surgery wounds so staying home is vital.
