One-time proud homeowners, Barbara and Ted, suffered a life-altering event when their home was destroyed during a "5" minute storm.

A MASSIVE tree toppled from our neighbor's yard, bringing 3 other trees along with it! In its path, it pulverized 2 and a half bedrooms, 2 baths, the hallway, and part of the recreation room. Let's not forget the outside. The entire back wall of the house, chimney, multiple gardens, and ornamental trees. Eleven years of back-breaking, heartfelt planting, pruning, and complete passion for a cherished hobby, my gardens!

Being on the lower level of the house during this horrific event saved our lives, literally!

This obviously was not a planned event, so we are now forced to live in a hotel with our 2 cats in tow. A one-room studio, trust me, it is no suite!

At this particular stage in our lives, we are supposed to be retired, downsizing, traveling, and generally just enjoying life, NOT STARTING OVER.
