Help Barbara rebuild: apartment fire relief effort
Donation protected
On Sunday morning, 12/08/24, at 5 am, my mom’s apartment building caught fire, and she has lost almost all of her belongings and has been displaced since her apartment is no longer livable. I’m raising money to replace her bed, nightstand, dresser, and to get her a recliner. If I can reach the goal in full, I will be replacing
more items like her TV, some pots and pans, other essentials, along with getting enough money to cover additional rent and groceries while she settles into her new apartment.
Some things about my mom. Her name is Barbara and she’s 67. She has lived at her apartment complex for 15 years. She has worked as an optician for 15 years for Walmart. She’s an incredibly compassionate person and has made me the person I am today. She has helped me out of more tight spots than I can count over the years. I’m just wanting to help her out as best as I can to make this transition in her life as painless as I can manage.
I know it’s the holiday season and money is tight for everyone, but please, if you read this and can help, even just a dollar can make a difference in her life. Thank you for reading this, and I hope you and your family are safe this holiday season.
