Help Barbara Find Relief and Ease Burden of Life

Hi! My name is Barbara, and I created this fundraiser because I am at my breaking point in not knowing what else I can do to survive. I am disabled and I also take care of my disabled husband. I have been out of the workforce due to my disability since 2008 with no income and have been taking care of my disabled husband for the past ten years. Everything I have tried thus far has started out good but somehow it always comes to an end. I had help at one time, not financially but with home health. All that came to an end last year when they cut off the services. I decided to leave it alone because it was creating so much stress and I need to stay in good health so I can take care of my husband who is fully dependent on me. My son helps as much as he can, but he can only do so much. I am trying something else to create an income stream but don’t have the funds to keep it going. I also need help with taking care of my husband but don’t have the means to pay for it. It is getting to the point where it is affecting my disability, but I can’t stop. I don’t need to meet any specific goal, at this point I just need help to relieve some of the stress. Any amount would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, first I want to start off by saying thank you for all the donations thus far. I am glad to say I was able to go to the grocery store on my own without having to ask someone. I now have the capability of hiring someone to come in and help with my husband, starting off with one day and if donations were to continue, I can increase the time. The average cost for a Caregiver is $20 an hour and CNA which I prefer due to his medical situation is an hourly rate of $30-35 an hour and I will need someone at minimum 4 hours a day. The cost for a Caregiver at that rate is average $350 a month for 1 day, and CNA would be $520 a month for 1 day.
