When Barbara first got the diagnosis of ovarian cancer, the chances of surviving more than five years were very low. Over six years later, that is still the case. When she passed, her last wish was that instead of flowers and gifts, we would raise money for ovarian cancer research. So we’re getting to work.

All of the money raised here will go directly to funding lab research for the prevention, early detection, and cure of ovarian cancer. We are blessed with loving connections and plan to use our knowledge of the medical, technical, and political fields to raise support, identify the labs that are doing groundbreaking work, and provide continuing, year after year, funding for these projects. Every penny awarded to a researcher is time they can spend on research rather than grant writing.

We will keep you posted on where we decide to send the first installment. Barbara asked that all money be donated in Dr. David Warshal’s name, as he devoted himself to Barbara and our family. This is just the start; there will be big things coming.
