Help Baraa Safely Reunite with her Family Amidst Crisis

Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers,

My name is Sarah and I live in Ontario, Canada. I am organizing this campaign for my cousin Baraa Shaker and her family. Their home was recently bombed, and they have lost everything. Now, they have no choice but to evacuate immediately for their safety as the bombardment and crisis is ongoing.

I'm reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for urgent help. Baraa is currently facing an unimaginable challenge amidst the ongoing crisis in Gaza; she urgently needs our help to reunite with her husband and parents, who are stranded in Gaza, while she and her children are in Egypt, separated by circumstances beyond their control.

The situation in Gaza is currently unlivable, with no access to clean water, electricity, shelter, or aid due to the large amount of destruction. It is estimated that approximately 80% of the Gaza strip has been destroyed by bombs. The family is currently burning through funds trying to survive displacement as their homes have been bombed. This campaign is not only for evacuation. The funds will be used to apply for visas, travel, and necessities while they are displaced and outside once evacuated.

Baraa, a university professor, and her twin children (ages 3 years old) were approved to cross the border to Egypt where they currently reside, however they do not have the funds to evacuate the rest of the family.

Baraa's family:

To cross the Gaza-Egypt Border (Rafah), coordinators in Egypt are asking anywhere from $7 000-8,000 per PERSON. They will not approve any names until a person has proved to have the necessary funds.
