My name is Baraa Alshaer, and I am a software engineer from Gaza. I am fundraising to support my personal relocation to a safer and more stable environment. This is entirely for my own expenses, not for anyone else or any organization.

Life in Gaza has made it impossible to find meaningful work as a software engineer, and opportunities to build a stable future are almost nonexistent. During the war, I spent long nights learning English and improving my skills so I could prepare for immigration. Now, I am focused entirely on preparing to leave, but I have no foundation to start with once I travel.

I am waiting for the Rafah crossing to open so I can begin my immigration process. Every day brings uncertainty, and the financial cost of relocating is overwhelming.

I am hoping to raise $5,000 to cover the essential costs of relocation, which will include:

- Travel expenses for leaving Gaza and arriving in a new country

- Initial accommodation for the first few weeks

- Basic setup expenses such as food, transportation, and essentials
