Donation protected
My name is Samuel Yanuck and I am raising funds on behalf of my friend Bara’a Jamal Al-Tahrawi who is currently trapped in the Gaza Strip. He has suffered much under this Genocide and is seeking to escape to continue his education. Funds raised will be withdrawn to my bank account here in the United States to be transferred by international wire to Bara'a's Bank Of Palestine account.
From Bara'a:
My Journey from Gaza to Germany: A Story of Determination and Hope
My name is Bara’a Jamal Al-Tahrawi, a 22-year-old Palestinian from Gaza. Growing up in this small, resilient region filled with challenges, I’ve always been driven by hope and the desire to achieve my dreams.
After completing high school, I enrolled in a technical program offered by UNRWA to study Mechatronics. I graduated with outstanding grades, fueled by my passion for technology and engineering. Following my studies, I gained valuable experience working with several local companies. Over time, I found myself increasingly drawn to the fields of solar energy and industrial control, which led me to specialize in these areas.
I applied for a job with a reputable German company specializing in solar energy. After multiple interviews with the team, I was thrilled to be offered a position. It was a dream come true to receive a work visa and begin a new chapter of my career in Germany.

However, like many from Gaza, my story took a challenging turn. I returned to Gaza for a visit, but the outbreak of war trapped me within the region. As the borders closed and the conflict escalated, my work visa expired, leaving me unable to leave Gaza.

Despite these difficult circumstances, I refused to give up. I utilized my time in Gaza to work in the solar energy field, managing to save a modest amount of money. Yet, to continue pursuing my academic and professional ambitions, I need additional financial resources to cover travel expenses, coordination fees for crossing the Rafah border, and other essential costs.
My ultimate goal is to complete my bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering and further my career in sustainable energy. I am determined to contribute to innovative solutions in this field and make a meaningful impact. While the journey ahead is challenging, I believe that perseverance and hard work will lead to success.

This is my story, and it’s only the beginning of a long journey toward achieving my dreams.

Funds raised will be used by Bara'a to:
  • Pay tuition, approximately$3,000
  • Cover travel arrangements, approximately $8,000 (includes crossing border at Rafah and plane ticket from Egypt to Germany)
  • Cover living expenses, expected to initially be $2,000
  • Marketing and other expenses, including sustaining life under genocidal siege. $1,000
