Banyen Peterson and their boyfriend have been hit hard by the recent Kona Low storm on Oʻahu. Their home suffered significant roof damage, and the tent they relied on was blown away. The storm also destroyed much of their household, leaving them without many of the essentials they need day-to-day. On top of that, their farm, crops, yard, and personal garden were all devastated, taking away not just their food source but also their livelihood and sense of stability.
