Help Banks Walk Again: Urgent IVDD Surgery Needed
Donation protected
Last night, Banks became paralyzed in his hind legs, was in extreme pain, and could not get comfortable or sleep. We immediately took him to the emergency vet where he has been consulted by a neurologist to do an MRI, surgical intervention, and medical management. I had heard about IVDD but did not realize how common this disorder can be and how quickly their lives can change within minutes. From running around in the backyard, playing with his brother, to not being able to walk a few steps is a nightmare.
Otherwise, Banks is a healthy 3-year-old French bulldog without medical issues. This surgery may be the only thing that will help my Banks walk again and have a chance at recovery and quality of life. Without surgical intervention, the road to recovery would be long and not guarantee any improvement of his condition, it actually could worsen.
Unfortunately, we do not have pet insurance and the cost of surgery and the hospitalization is extremely high. I want to give him the best chance to live out his years with his brother Moon and have a quality of life. I am so heartbroken for my sweet boy and just want to give him the best chance of walking and being free of pain again. His brother Moon and parents are waiting and praying for him to come home soon.
A prayer, donation, or share of this would be very much appreciated. Thank you so much.
