Stand with the Victims of the Bangladesh Student Movement
In the wake of the recent student movement in Bangladesh, from July 17th to August 5th, 2024, a wave of violence erupted as brave young voices rose against the authoritarian Hasina government. Their fight was not just for themselves, but for a future free from discrimination, corruption, and oppression. Unfortunately, many of these courageous students paid a heavy price, suffering injuries and trauma as they stood up for justice.
We, the Global NRB Network - Brisbane, are a group of passionate Bangladeshis based in Brisbane, Australia, united by our commitment to support the victims of this movement. We believe that their struggle should not be in vain, and it is our duty to ensure their voices continue to resonate across the world.
Our Mission:
- Raise Funds for Victims: The injured students need immediate medical care, legal support, and rehabilitation. We aim to raise funds to provide them with the necessary assistance to heal and regain their strength.
- Raise Awareness for a Discrimination-Free Bangladesh: The recent movement highlighted the deep-seated issues within Bangladesh's society. We seek to raise awareness globally, advocating for a future where every Bangladeshi can live without fear of discrimination or persecution.
- Partnering for Positive Change: We are committed to working with organizations and individuals who share our vision for a better Bangladesh. Through these partnerships, we can drive initiatives that promote human rights, democracy, and social justice.
- Mentoring Bangladeshi Students: The students who led this movement are the future of Bangladesh. We aim to mentor them, providing guidance and support to help them navigate the challenges they face and empower them to become leaders in their communities.
- Developing Technical Skills for Outsourcing: To create sustainable opportunities for Bangladeshi youth, we are focused on developing their technical skills. By equipping them with the knowledge and expertise needed for outsourcing, we can help them build better futures for themselves and their families.
