Help Bane Fight Canine Lymphoma!
Donation protected
For those of you who know us or follow us on social media, you know Bane is a big part of our family and would do anything for him. About a month ago, we took Bane to the vet to get checked out due to 2 golf size lumps in his throat. We were told it could be swollen lymph nodes due to an infection or Canine Lymphoma (cancer). Since Bane was not showing any symptoms, we opted to get him tested. I wish I could say it was a it was just an infection.
Unfortunately, Bane has been diagnosed with Canine Lymphoma. For those of you who are not familiar, canine lymphoma can affect any organ in the body. Most commonly in the lymph nodes before spreading to other organs such as the spleen, liver, and bone marrow. Based on his first test results we need to get more blood work done to determine the current stage of his cancer. As of 3 weeks ago the vet labeled him at a stage 3 by simply looking at him. Since his last visit, the cancer has progressed at a rapid rate. Lymph nodes have continued to grow and spread throughout his body. Although he is not experiencing any physical pain, he is currently on a high dosage of prednisone to keep him comfortable.
For those who don’t know, we’ve had Bane since he was 6 weeks old. Bane has been with us since we lived in California and made the move to Boston with us. He’s been a huge part of our lives over the past 7 years. Many of you have had the pleasure of meeting him and know he is good boy. He has been Gabe’s legal emotional support pet for the past 5 years, Gabby & Dalyla’s best friend, & without a doubt my biggest baby. Pitbulls are meant to live between 8-15 years and we would like to give him that opportunity. The cost of chemotherapy can range between $2000-$6000 or higher depending on severity. We would like to be able to continue all the basic procedures/ test to determine his current stage. That is why we are asking for your help. Any donation is greatly appreciated. All donations will go towards his treatment and medication. Gabe and I Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
If you cannot contribute financially, prayers are much needed and accepted for Bane and our entire family. We can’t imagine losing him this way. FUCK CANCER!! bnnhjkiop[]
