Help Bandit walk and run again

Hi everyone I’m fundraising for my border terrier called  bandit. He is 2 on the 7th March.  He has got severe hip dysplasia.  I thought for a puppy an insurance amount of £6000 was alright until he got to 4-5yrs old then increase the payments to cover him for older age.  Unfortunately he stopped putting his right leg 2 weeks ago.  I took him to the vets and they decided to X-ray him.  His diagnosis today has been a big shock.  Bandit has SEVERE hip dysplasia with secondary arthritis already present. He has been given a lot of medications all inflammatory. I’ve been given 3 options
1.  we leave him as he is which is mostly on 3 legs until his other hip goes on him.  Which the vet said could be a month or 2 months or a year we don’t know
2  They can do what they call a salvage operation which could give him a couple of years but with restricted movement in them them and that could give him maybe a couple of years but can’t say exactly how long
3.  A full hip replacement and that would do away with all the arthritis and get him back to how a young dog should be.

Idealy I would like him to have a hip replacement on his right back leg which is the one he is suffering with.
His insurance is £6000 and out of that so far we have had nearly £1000 for X-RAYS
and roughly £200 for medicines.
A hip replacement will cost in the region of £8000-£9000 just for his right hip that would help him tremendously and his left hip will have all the strain off it so it might be a while before that one starts to bother him.  What it would mean is he would no longer need to be on garden rest and he could run and play with all his friends like a normal 2yr old dog would do.
This little border terrier is the most cutest little dog with his cheeky little face and he’s my best friend.  If I had to have him put to sleep I would be well and truly heartbroken.
I wouldn’t be able to Thankyou enough for helping me out with him.
Hi just a quick update border terrier welfare are supporting Bandit and myself.
Hi everyone on the 7th of March when he went to see the orthopaedic surgeon he was only walking on 3 legs he couldn’t put his right back leg down at all.  The orthopaedic surgeon had a look at him and his back leg had dislocated so he popped it back in and as soon as he walked it came out again. The surgeon said he would need an operation to do his knee 1st so he stayed in hospital that day and had surgery the following day which was the 8th March. I went and picked him up on the 9th March he was very lame but did get a bit better day by day.  I was told to take him back again in 6 weeks time and then they would re assess his other knee which the surgeon said it didn’t feel right either.  Unfortunately yesterday 18th March I went to get him out of his cage and he couldn’t put his left leg down and he couldn’t walk at all as his right knee had only been done 10days prior. Anyway he struggled all day yesterday I did ring paragon up at Wakefield and the asked me if I could get him there for 9am this morning 18th March.  They have kept him in to do X-rays and scans ect and tomorrow he will have his surgery on his other knee tomorrow.   Then it will be another 6 weeks to go back then maybe they can then go ahead and sort out his hips which is what he was referred to see them for originally. So unfortunately this is going to cost alot more than I thought it was going to cost.  He’s only just turned 2yrs old now but I’ve got to give him a chance I don’t want go have to put him to sleep at this young age.  I’m a absolutely devastated he is my everything and I don’t want to lose him. I really don’t like asking for anything but I’m begging this time. I’m beside myself with worry about it all. All of you kind people that have donated money for Bandit that has paid for his knees so I just wanted to Thankyou from the bottom of my heart but I’ve got along way ahead of me yet with hips and he will need hydrotherapy to build his muscles up in his back end before and after the hip operations.  Please if you can afford a little bit it’s better than nothing
Many thanks for all of your kind words of encouragement for Bandit and the donations
