Help Bandit Recover: Support His Medical Care
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
This is kind of a last resort ask for help for our sweet Bandit. Saturday night we rushed him to the Emergency Vet in Middleton due to rapid weight loss, vomiting, decreased eating, and yellowing of his skin. He has since been staying in the hospital for IV fluid rehydration, a feeding tube has been placed for additional nutritional therapy until he begins to start eating more on his own, and diagnostic testing to hopefully tell us where the problem lies.
Sunday night around 11 PM we received a phone call that he was slightly more lethargic than normal and rescanned his abdomen to find that he has free fluid surrounding his liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.
Today, the internal medicine team will review his case and recommend further interventions and treatments for Bandit. We hope to then be able to get him home and continue his care in La Crosse.
Nick and I have no children other than our animals. Bandit is our first baby together. He is only five years old, but he has so much more life to live.
Nick and I thank you for considering, and if you cannot donate, please keep Bandit in your thoughts as he recovers.
I will continue to keep this page updated with news.
With love,
McKaylee, Nick, Bandit, Holly, Luna, and Louie <3
