Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out today for help with my sweet dog Bandit. Bandit is a 4.5-year-old German Shepherd who means the absolute world to me. She’s not just my dog — she’s truly my family, the closest thing to a child that I will ever have. She’s my baby, my best friend, my protector, and the one who keeps me smiling on even my hardest days.
If Bandit could have a personal motto, it would be “Ball is life.” Nothing makes her happier than chasing her favorite ball, running wide open, and living her goofy, playful life. But recently, Bandit was diagnosed with bilateral cranial cruciate ligament ruptures, which means she has torn ligaments (similar to ACL tears in humans) in both of her knees. The vet explained that her breed and genetics likely led to this.
It breaks my heart to see her struggle just to stand up or walk across the room, let alone run after her beloved ball. The only way to give Bandit a chance at a normal, pain-free life is through two separate surgeries, one for each knee, to be performed in Pensacola, Florida. Each surgery is estimated at $4,000, but with pre-op care, rehab, medications, and potential complications, it will likely be more.
I will do absolutely anything to get Bandit back to healthy — chasing balls and living her best life. Asking for help is incredibly hard for me, but I know I can’t do this alone. Every dollar raised will go directly to her surgeries and recovery.
If you’re able to donate, please know how much it would mean to both of us. And if you can’t give right now, even sharing Bandit’s story would help us tremendously.
Thank you so much for caring about my sweet girl. With your support, I hope to see Bandit back on her paws soon — ball in mouth, tail wagging, loving life the way she deserves.
With love and gratitude,
Morgan
A message from Bandit:
Sup dawgs,
Bandit here — professional ball chaser, snack thief, and certified good girl. Right now my knees are kinda busted, which means no zoomies, no epic fetch sessions, and worst of all… no nightly snuggles (unless mom sleeps in my new bed on the floor.)
Mom says some awesome humans out there might help me get my legs fixed. That way I can get back to running full speed, stealing socks, and living my best goofy life.
If you throw a few bones (or dollars) my way, I promise maximum tail wags, big sloppy kisses, and maybe even let you throw my ball!
Thanks for helping me get back to being the absolute menace (and lovebug) I was born to be. You’re pawsome ❤️!
