Help Bandar's 3-year-old Daughter Fight Leukemia

I've known Bandar—"Ben"—since I was an Army soldier serving in Iraq in 2005, and Bandar was my Iraqi interpreter (read profiles of Bandar here and here ). Back in 2009, Bandar immigrated to the U.S., later becoming an American citizen, and moving to California where he met his wife Marwa. Bandar and Marwa now have an amazing three-year-old daughter—little Sally, their only child—who, on April 5, 2019, was diagnosed with leukemia (pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia).
Her treatment plan, which includes chemotherapy, will require more than two years of treatment.
Sally and her parents are good people, and they need our help. While Bandar recently secured a job as a contractor with the federal government, his wife and child are not eligible for his medical insurance benefits. We're hopeful that Sally will qualify for Medicaid, but there will likely be expenses related to her treatment—potential unpaid leave from Bandar's job, etc.--that we want to make sure are covered so that Bandar and Marwa can focus on the important work of getting Sally healthy.
