Hi everyone, my name is Zoey, and I’m Bambam and Wendy's neighbor. I’ve gotten to know her really well, and I wanted to share what’s going on because she is such a special dog. Bambam has the sweetest, calmest personality. She’s the kind of dog who quietly stays by your side, leans into you for comfort, and looks at you like she understands everything. She brings a sense of peace wherever she goes, and she is so deeply loved by anyone who meets her.
Right now, Bambam is going through a serious medical situation. She was diagnosed with a neurological condition called MUO (a type of meningitis) about a year and a half ago, and with treatment she’s been doing really well—until she suddenly became very sick this weekend and had to be hospitalized. Over the past few days, the doctors have been treating her for pancreatitis with some liver involvement, and she is receiving close monitoring, medications, and supportive care. There have already been some encouraging signs, and we’re hopeful she’ll keep improving—but she still needs continued treatment to fully recover. Wendy has been doing everything possible for Bambam and is completely committed to getting her through this. Anyone who knows her knows how much she loves and cares for her dogs.
I wanted to create this GoFundMe to help support Bambam’s care and give her the best chance to continue healing. Emergency veterinary care adds up quickly, and any support would go directly toward her treatment and recovery. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount helps. And if not, sharing this page would help so much. Bambam is a really special soul, and we’re all hopeful she’ll be back home very soon, snuggling with her family where she belongs. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting her.
- If you feel more comfortable donating directly to the Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital (MASH) ask for the emergency department and ask to make a payment for Wendy Appel and BamBam
i will set it up so the funds go to Wendy and be used to pay for BamBams treatments and medications
