Hi everyone,

Our two 5-month-old German Shepherd puppies, Bama and Casper, have both been diagnosed with parvovirus, a severe and often deadly illness in young dogs.

Bama was the first to get sick. He was diagnosed on Sunday and had to be rushed to the animal hospital, where he’s been fighting for his life in isolation. Yesterday morning, he took a dangerous turn for the worse and almost didn’t make it. Thankfully, he’s still holding on, but his condition remains critical with the vet saying his odds are about 50/50 right now. He will likely need at least another 48 hours in the ICU.

This morning, we got heartbreaking news that Casper, Bama’s brother, also tested positive for parvo. His symptoms are just beginning, but we’re terrified they could progress the same way Bama’s did. We’re preparing for the possibility that he may also need hospitalization and intensive care.

We’ve already spent around $7,000 on emergency vet bills, and the costs continue to rise with each day they remain in treatment. As much as we wish we could handle this on our own, we’re reaching out for help to give both of our boys the best chance to survive.
