Baldr went in for his annual checkup, and they found he has a very significant heart murmur, it's a 4/6 on the scale. The imaging they did the day of showed some thickening in his heart's walls. He needs to see a cardiologist, but the EKG alone is $740, not counting other testing that may need done, or medications.
He also has a growth in his bladder that requires another specialist who's estimated cost of care is $500-800, again not including any additional testing or medications. We need to make sure it's not cancer. He was tested for a UTI and it came out negative.
I'm in a rush for the EKG, which is why I've not asked for fundraiser help with the bladder ultrasound specialist yet, but any additional funds to get us there would be incredible.
The initial vet visit cost more than my pfd, so I'm completely tapped out.
Many of you know how important he is to me. He's been my best friend for over 12 years, since he was a baby. He's come with me across different states until we settled in Alaska. When I did zoom therapy, he was always there. My therapist expected him to join me every session, and when moved she wrote me a professional ESA letter so that he could come with me. He has been an astronomical help for my mental health, and I need to find out what's wrong.
