Hello everyone,
My name is Sweet Ono, and I’m currently based in Canada, but my heart is back home in Cebu, Philippines — especially in the towns of Balamban and Asturias, which were among the hardest hit by Typhoon Tino earlier this month.
Hundreds of families have lost their homes, access to water, and electricity, and many are still in evacuation centers. Roads and bridges are damaged, and communities are struggling to rebuild while facing another threat: Super Typhoon Uwan, which is now moving toward the country.
This GoFundMe aims to raise CAD $10,000 (≈ ₱420,000 PHP) to provide:
Food packs and drinking water for affected families
Temporary shelter materials (tarpaulins, plywood, bedding)
Power banks, flashlights, and batteries for those without power
Basic medicine and hygiene kits for evacuation centers
Support for rebuilding once conditions stabilize
Every dollar raised will go directly to relief teams and verified local partners in Cebu, including barangay volunteers and church-led relief drives. I’ll personally oversee the transfer of funds and post regular photo updates and receipts so you can see your generosity at work.
Why This Matters
Cebu is still reeling from Typhoon Tino’s devastation — and with another super typhoon on the horizon, people are scared, hungry, and exhausted.
Your help today can:
Feed a family for days,
Provide safe shelter from the next storm, and
Show our kababayans that they are not forgotten, even from across the ocean.
