Hello! My name is Carly Baker and I am starting this fundraiser to help my father (Donny Baker) alleviate the burden of rebuilding our home. Today February 29, 2024 my home was burnt down, killing my cats and completely demolishing all of our belongings. While we grieve and attempt to find ways to carry on, it is evident that we currently do not have the necessary funds to rebuild our home. This was a place where I spent all of my summers, and holds a lot of really powerful beautiful memories. I am deeply saddened by the news of our home being destroyed and the passing of both our cats, and hope that this fundraiser will allow my dad some solace in such a chaotic and depressing situation. The funds will be used to rebuild the home, and clean up the fire scene. Devastatingly, we did not have any home insurance. Due to the lack of insurance, this is a total loss. We also lost all of our clothes and appliances, which will need to be purchased.
