Help Bajito Overcome Painful Dental Disease
Donation protected

Hi all! Featured in the picture above is my baby, Bajito. He's a 6-year-old domestic shorthair cat and he could really use your help.
I found Bajito when he was a few weeks old, crammed in a cage in the bed of a black pick-up truck in 104 degree heat in the Central Valley. He had no food, no water, no litter box, and he was roughly half the size of his remaining littermates due to lack of nutrition (he was also the runt of his litter). He's had a rough start, and I've done everything I can as a college student to make his life as comfortable as possible.
He was recently diagnosed with calicivrius and stomatitis, both of which he was exposed to in his early years as a kitten (before I took him in). These conditions cause very painful ulcers in the mouth, essentially attacking his teeth and gums and making it very painful for him to eat. After suffering an extensive flare-up that caused him to lose a significant amount of weight (due to the pain of eating), our vet recommended that he receive a full tooth extraction to alleviate the pain. The surgery is going to cost about $4000, and I would really appreciate any help I can get with funding the procedure! I am happy to post any receipts or quotes from my vet clinic to verify all of this information and the breakdown of the costs for those interested in donating. All funds will be used toward helping fund the procedure and any steroids he may need to be put on until the fundraising goal is met!
Please note that my name on file is listed as Savanna as that is my legal name.
