Hello everyone,
I wanted to added this because what we know now is by what we thought. Bailey has cancer, spindle cell sarcoma. She needs a $4000 surgery to get a wide margin removed.
This is Bailey. She’s a 5 year old, super sweet terrier-mix from Massachusetts. Sadly, in her early life she was a bait dog and used as a puppy mill; vets say she had been through as many as 3 litters by the time she was a year and a half old. When I first rescued her she was so frail, skinny to the bone. She was afraid of both people and other dogs. I rescued her from someone who was going to leave her on the side of the road. Fortunately, her life has taken a miraculous turn since then and she has evolved in to a happy, social and super loving dog.Her hobbies are sleeping, walking, ripping up plush toys and sleeping. She can sleep in any position but her favorite is any position that is under my back, causing discomfort. She makes up for it with her love, though.Recently I noticed a growth on her gum attached to her big canine tooth. I took her to the veterinarian and they concluded it is a tumor but due to her only being 5 years old they believe it is NOT cancer. The oral surgery will cost $1200 and that will include removing the growth, her tooth and clearing the area of any non-normal tissue. This is my baby, my best friend. She has had a rough life that I am so grateful to have been a part of fixing. She went from the lowest low any dog can come from and has blossomed in to an amazing animal with an amazing life. You can offer support both through sharing Bailey’s GoFundMe and contributing whatever you can. Bailey and I are asking each person to chip in $15-20 however we will graciously accept whatever you can contribute to get her back to being happy and healthy.Thank you so much,Jennifer
