Bailey is my 4-year-old dachshund, and she’s always been the heart of our family. Up until today, she was full of energy—chasing after toys, playing with my children, and bringing joy to everyone she met. This morning, everything changed when Bailey suddenly couldn’t walk. I rushed her to the vet, and after a series of tests, we received devastating news: Bailey is paralyzed due to IVDD and needs urgent spinal surgery, along with an MRI. The cost of these procedures is more than I can afford, and it’s overwhelming to face this challenge knowing how much Bailey means to my children and me. She’s not just a pet—she’s a best friend, a source of comfort, and a cherished member of our family.
