Hi, my name is Michelle, and I’m honestly heartbroken right now. This morning around 9:45 AM, my little dog Bailey was attacked by my neighbor’s pitbull — right in our yard. It all happened so fast. One second she was going potty outside like she always does, and the pitbull came running straight at her.

When I finally got Bailey she was bleeding, shaking, and crying in pain. The pitbull punctured her thigh. I rushed her to the vet right away, and they said her treatment will cost around $1,959.

What makes this even harder is that the pitbull’s owners don’t want to help me pay for any of it. It breaks my heart because Bailey didn’t deserve this. She’s such a sweet, loving dog, she’s my little blessing and my comfort. Seeing her in pain has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever gone through.

I’ve been praying nonstop, asking God to help Bailey heal and to give me the strength to stay calm and hopeful. Even though this has been really scary, I know God is with us through all of it. I believe He can turn even painful moments into something good.
