Yesterday, February 26th, my little sister Kaleigh’s 4-month-old puppy, Bailey, had a terrible accident. Bailey ran out the door when someone opened it and was hit by a city work truck speeding down the street. The driver didn’t even stop. Kaleigh rushed Bailey to the Ceredo animal ER, where she had to have X-rays, pain medication, and a small cast put on for the time being. Bailey’s hip, leg, and paw are broken. She’s home for now, but she can’t use the bathroom by herself and needs pain medication every 6-8 hours to manage the pain. Watching this playful, friendly puppy go from full of life to unable to move and in pain has been absolutely heartbreaking for Kaleigh and everyone who loves Bailey.

We’re raising funds to help cover Bailey’s hip surgery, ongoing care for her leg and paw, and any medications she’ll need during her recovery. The cost of surgery is very high, and Kaleigh is doing everything she can to help Bailey heal and get back to her happy, playful self.
