A Sweet Soul Fighting for His Life

Bailey’s story is one of resilience and love. He was rescued after being tied under a bed for days when his elderly owner suffered a heart attack. In those dark days, Bailey had nothing to eat but his own feces. Despite this heartbreaking start, Bailey has lived the best life since being rescued. He loves people, enjoys every moment, and has a gentle, joyful spirit.

Sadly, Bailey now faces the toughest fight of his life. He has developed severe, unexplained anemia. His red blood cell count (PCV) has dropped dangerously low, leaving him weak and in urgent need of blood transfusions just to stay alive. Extensive tests, ultrasound, parasite screening, cancer checks have not yet revealed the cause. The veterinarians are working hard to uncover what’s wrong, but time is running out & it’s very very expensive. His owner is a war veteran, Bailey has been a lifeline to, offering unconditional love and mental support. She has already maxed out her credit cards and dipped into rent money to keep him alive.

Each transfusion and round of testing costs hundreds to thousands of dollars. Without support, she cannot continue giving Bailey the lifesaving care he desperately needs.

Bailey is only 6 years old. He still has so much love to give, and we are not ready to give up on him. Please help if you can, even a little will help!
