Hi everyone,

We are Bailey Peters and Jillian Baptista, proud seniors at Hughson High School and members of the Hughson High Bass Fishing Team. Over the past four years, bass fishing has become more than just a sport to us , it has taught us dedication, perseverance, teamwork, leadership, and the importance of chasing big dreams no matter the obstacles. This season, we accomplished one of our biggest goals by qualifying for the High School Bass Fishing National Championship at Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. Even more meaningful, we are honored to be the first and only all-girls team in California history to qualify for Nationals through tournament competition. Representing not only our school, but also young women in the sport of competitive fishing, is something we are incredibly proud of.

Throughout high school, we have spent countless early mornings, long weekends, and hours on the water working toward this opportunity. Competitive fishing requires commitment, sacrifice, and determination, and qualifying for Nationals is the result of years of hard work and passion for the sport we love. Now, we have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete against the best high school anglers in the country while proudly representing California as the only girls team attending Nationals. As exciting as this opportunity is, traveling across the country comes with significant expenses. We are currently seeking donations to help cover the costs of flights, hotel accommodations, food, gas, and travel expenses throughout our trip to Kentucky. Any amount, big or small, would mean so much to us and would directly support our journey to compete at the national level.

Your support would not only help us reach Nationals, but also help inspire other young girls to pursue their passions fearlessly, especially in sports where female representation is limited.
