Bailey is a fun, loving, happy 2-year-old pup with tons of energy and a love for life and adventuring with her paw-rents. Unfortunately, Bailey is predisposed to a genetic condition that causes luxating patella - which means that her knee joint slips in and out of place. This has affected both of her back legs, the way she lives life, and walks - she currently cannot put any pressure on her back right leg. Ultimately this can lead to arthritis and tears in the ACL and/or MCL - which has already happened in her back right leg.

On August 24th Bailey will be going in for bilateral knee surgery (both knees). Because of the severity of this condition and the need to perform surgery on both legs at once, Bailey will need lots of special care, medical equipment, and even rehab to ensure her life can return to normal.

And, since this is a pre-existing genetic condition, Bailey's insurance will NOT cover these medical expenses.

While Bailey's parents will be fronting most of the expenses, they will also need to dig into savings for this emergency surgery. Any help you can offer, whether that be $10 or $100 or more will go straight towards her surgery and recovery and will be forever appreciated.

What are we doing to ensure the surgery is a success?

We are getting Bailey the best care possible! We have done lots of research and wanted to make sure Bailey got a solution that would last her entire lifetime.
