Support Bailey & Gabriel's Recovery Journey

Hi, my name is Bailey Morris. I am from Temple, TX and I am a college student at UMHB. My husband, Gabriel Morris, is also a full time college student online and works full time as a computer repair technician. I truly appreciate you reading our story. My husband and I have been completely blindsided following a severe car accident and subsequent tornado that has led to the loss of both of our vehicles, medical bills, and leaving me unable to return to work. On Wednesday the 22nd, I was driving towards Temple, TX attempting to seek shelter from the impending tornado. Unfortunately, a car pulled out in front of me and we collided. I was left with what I later found out to be multiple broken ribs, a chest contusion, knee contusion, and severe muscle strain. As soon as our accident occurred, the tornado ripped through us. I was forced to attempt to seek shelter amidst my injuries, and was unable to locate the other driver. Luckily, everyone was alive and okay for the most part, thanks to first responders, who helped us through that tumultuous time.

My husband was left with hail damage that also totaled out his vehicle. As a young married couple at 22 and 23, we don’t have the funds to obtain new vehicles to get us to work, and eventually college in the fall. Now that I am unable to work for a while, we are also short one income. To make matters worse, we have been without power for over four days, leading to the spoiling of all of our food and leaving us to find another place to stay as temperatures soar in the high nineties. Our pet cat has also been missing since the tornado.

Any funds donated will be used to secure vital transportation, pay medical bills, and assist us in daily living until I am able to work again.
