Our sweet Bailey’s world changed on Christmas Eve. She suddenly became very sick, and after two ER visits, we learned she has IMHA (Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia), a serious condition where her immune system attacks her own red blood cells.

Thanks to her incredible donor dog, Kirby, she received a blood transfusion today that gave us a little more time — but her red blood cell count is still below 20%, which is transfusion-level low. Bailey’s journey is just beginning, and she will need ongoing testing, treatment, and close veterinary monitoring to fight this disease.

We’ve already spent over $3,000 on her care, and with everything ahead, the costs will continue to add up. Any funds we don’t end up needing for Bailey will be donated to Whitehall Veterinary to help other pets who are struggling with medical care.
