Help Bailey Clayton Ziegler Recover from His 5th Open-Heart Surgery
At just 23 years old, Bailey is facing something no young person should ever have to endure — his fifth open-heart surgery. Born with a congenital heart condition, he has spent his entire life facing medical procedures that most people cannot imagine, but he hasn't let that stop him from living a full life.
Over the last several months, Bailey has been unable to work while undergoing diagnostic procedures and preparing for this major surgery. His surgery is scheduled soon and, due to the complex nature, will have to be performed in Houston (3.5 hours away from home). The surgery will require at least a week in the hospital, followed by an intensive recovery period of four to six weeks.
While focusing on his health, Bailey has had to dip into the money he was carefully saving to move into his own apartment just to cover basic living expenses like food, transportation, and medical costs not covered by insurance. This surgery, while life-saving, creates even more financial strain during a time when his sole focus should be on healing.
Bailey currently lives with his mom (Bridget Martin) and step-dad (Gary Zwahr), who are providing as much support as they can, but the reality is that the costs are overwhelming. We're hoping to raise funds to help him cover the cost of his everyday expenses during recovery — things like food, personal bills, and transportation to follow-up medical appointments — and to help him rebuild his savings so that, once recovered, he can get on with living.
Despite everything he's faced, Bailey continues to show incredible strength, resilience, and determination. He takes comfort in making music and taking scenic drives. Anyone who knows him knows how kind, thoughtful, and hardworking he is — someone who never hesitates to help others, even when he's struggling himself.
Any contribution, big or small, will go directly toward helping Bailey get through this difficult time and give him the solid foundation he needs to start the next chapter of his life — healthier, stronger, and more independent.
If you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign is just as helpful. Thank you so much for your love, support, and prayers. It means the world to Bailey and all of us who care about him.
Update 10/2/2025: Surgery is today. Please keep Bailey and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
