On 1/26/18 my Dad, Randy Bagwell went into Hackensack University Medical Center to have his mitral valve replaced. Despite the excellent care of the ICU team my Dad seized for over an hour and suffered from 3 different strokes. Almost a month later my Dad remains on life support, unable to move his body, open his eyes or even speak.
Anyone who knows my parents knows that they have experienced more hardship than anyone family should ever have to endure. Their son, Billy Bagwell, my brother diagnosed with leukemia at age 17 died at 20 years old after a hard-fought 3 years with cancer.
Hurricane Sandy devastated my parents home flooding it with over 3ft of water. The construction company after being paid has still not completed the work on my parents home. Their home where we raised sits vacant, unlivable, unsellable.
My other brother, Joseph Bagwell due to an accident also from the conditions created from Hurricane Sandy suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning. He has survived from being on life support. However my parents only surviving son is disabled and has endless complications from his injuries. My Mom and our family have been by my Dad's bedside hoping, praying, for a miracle. My parents have always been very hard working people however the bills have become unsurmountable. After one heart-wrenching setback after another, we are appealing to you for any help you can offer.
